FROM OUR PRESIDENT AND CEO
I want to welcome everyone to 2024, and the promise of great things to come. I am excited to share that I was appointed as president and CEO of Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), effective January 1st. I am both honored and humbled by this opportunity to lead an extraordinary organization into its next phase of growth and progress. SU2C’s commitment to collaboration and relentless drive to innovate are the core values that fuel our dedication to funding cutting-edge research. When I joined as chief science officer last summer, after 15 years of service on SU2C’s Scientific Advisory Committee, I really had the privilege of getting to know the science team and reviewing all the magnificent scientific and clinical research.
I have devoted my career to investigating how to defeat this insidious disease, and am looking forward to helping SU2C build upon its bold legacy for years to come.

SU2C IN THE NEWS
Stand Up To Cancer wants to thank the SU2C Stream Team and the content creator community for coming together this holiday season to raise money for SU2C through various streams and content. We saw support from both returning and new streamers, whether they were playing video games, building crafts, or making music. SCIENCE AND INNOVATION
SU2C RECOGNIZED BY CHOP AND SITC
We are excited to share that Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) inducted SU2C into its President’s Circle, which honors donors who have made investments in CHOP’s research exceeding $1 million. SU2C has awarded investigators at CHOP with over $10.5 million in grants to fund eight teams of researchers or individual awards over the past decade. SU2C-supported research at CHOP has spanned several cancer types that impact children and young adults, with the goal of helping patients receive the best treatment possible.
The Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer presented the 2023 Tara Withington Public Service Award to SU2C’s co-founders in acknowledgement of their leadership in bringing innovative, high-quality treatments to cancer patients as quickly as possible.
“We are thankful to CHOP and SITC for recognizing the role SU2C has played in advancing a collaborative and multi-disciplinary approach to cancer research and treatment, which was our goal when SU2C launched 15 years ago,” Julian Adams, Ph.D.
