The Event is a Tribute to Thousands of Workers Who Helped Construct the New Miami Stadium and to Celebrate Money Raised for 10 Non-Profit
April 23, 2012 – Dr. Ana Maria Polo, host of the TV shows “Caso Cerrado”, and ” Caso Cerrado: Edición Estelar” and ambassador for Stand Up To Cancer (Unidos Contra el Cáncer) will accept a check on behalf of the charity during a special ceremony on Friday, April 27 at the new Marlins Park in the city of Miami.
The ceremony marks the culmination of a 50 mile run by David Samson, Marlins’ President, honoring the thousands of workers who made possible the construction of the stadium; the run also served to collect funds to help 10 charities.
Dr. Ana Maria Polo, the renowned lawyer from Hispanic TV, was named a Stand Up To Cancer (Unidos Contra el Cáncer) ambassador in October 2011, joining a roster of national and international celebrities lending their support to the initiative that seeks to raise awareness and funds to advance cancer research.“It is an honor for me to represent Stand Up To Cancer at this event. This donation is a beacon of hope not only for Stand Up To Cancer but for the other charities that will benefit. Together we can continue fighting this terrible disease.
