Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), and a major force in the fight against cancer, is teaming up with Groupon, the daily deal site offering unbeatable deals in cities around the world, to launch an affiliate partnership showcasing an innovative fundraising method for non-profits. The collaboration will engage the public by offering an incentive for Groupon users to support cancer research.

SWAGG™ to Donate a Portion of the Gift Values Offered to VIP Guests During Sundance to SU2C
WHAT: SWAGG™ is a new mobile application that is changing the way of gifting. The application, that allows consumers to buy, send and swap SWAGG GIFTS, as well as manage offers and makes plastic gift cards and rewards digital, will present the “House of SWAGG” - a VIP gifting (with a conscience) boutique in Park City, Utah for a limited engagement during the Sundance Film Festival. The “House of SWAGG” will offer a new twist to an old standard by providing a cash donation to Stand Up To Cancer (www.standup2cancer.org) for a portion of the gift values offered to VIP guests. Stand Up To Cancer raises funds to accelerate groundbreaking cancer research and engages the public in supporting the scientists working to end the disease. VIP guests may choose to have all of their gifts donated directly to the charity instead of taking them for themselves.

SU2C Acquires TV & Film Rights to Non-Fiction Bestseller THE EMPEROR OF ALL MALADIES
Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), the charitable initiative generating public awareness of and support for ground-breaking research aimed at getting new cancer treatments to patients in an accelerated timeframe, has acquired the TV and film rights to The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer, written by Siddhartha Mukherjee and published by Scribner in November, 2010. The book traces the history, or biography, of the disease from its first appearance thousands of years ago through the Nixon era War on Cancer 40 years ago to today’s promising new directions in cancer medicine.

Times Square New Year’s Eve, MasterCard Worldwide Partner with 90 Times Square Area Businesses
MasterCard, the official payment card of the Times Square New Year’s Eve Celebration, will make a donation of $1 per transaction, up to $1.5 million total, to Stand Up To Cancer every time a visitor to Times Square uses their MasterCard at any of the 90 participating businesses in the Times Square-area between November 26, 2010 and December 31, 2010 at midnight.
