Donor Information: When we collect your name or other personal information through a donation, we will not trade this personal information to other organizations for their own use or share or sell this information with other organizations or individuals for money.

Although we will not share or sell donor information for money or trade this information, we may provide donor information to other organizations or individuals as disclosed in this Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable privacy laws. We will not send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, unless we have the donor’s specific permission to do so. This restriction applies to donor information that we collect offline as well as through the Website.

How We Share Donor and Other Information: If we have collected information through the Website that identifies you individually, we may share this information with other parties as permitted by law, including:

• Affiliated companies and organizations;

• Service providers or agents that perform services or activities for us, such as to third-party service providers as needed to process a donation, send our emails, or host the Website;

• Third parties engaged in fundraising activities for our benefit (for example, please note that if you donate through an individual fundraiser, including a fundraising appeal in honor or in memory of a specific individual, we may provide your name, message, and contact information to the fundraiser);

• Advertising partners, such as to allow advertising networks and social networks to select and serve relevant advertisements to you and others;

• As part of a corporate sale, merger, acquisition, or other transfer involving all or part of our assets including as part of an insolvency or bankruptcy proceeding or as part of a corporate reorganization or other change in corporate control;

• Pursuant to a subpoena, court order, search warrant, governmental inquiry, or other legal process or as otherwise permitted or required by applicable US or other law, or to protect our rights or the rights of third parties, or to protect the safety or security of any person or entity;

• To prevent or defend against fraud or criminal activity and to maintain the security of the Website or our network; or

• With your consent or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection or sharing.

Please note that if you opt to make a donation in connection with promotions in which corporate donors receive incentives and rewards from partners in return for a donation, SU2C will share the information we collect from you – such as your name, e-mail address, loyalty program account information, and your donation amount – with the partner participating in the program.

When you respond to one of our blogs, leave a review, or link to a social media venue, the personal information you share is visible to other users and can be read, collected, or used by them. For example, if you provide your name and e-mail address in a blog posting, that information may be accessible to the public. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these instances.

We may share information that has been deidentified or aggregated without limitation. When we use deidentified information, we maintain and use the information in deidentified form and do not attempt to reidentify it, except to check whether our deidentification processes satisfy the requirements of applicable law.

Digital Advertising & Analytics

We may partner with social media tools, ad networks, and other ad serving providers (“Advertising Providers”) that serve ads on behalf of us and others on non-affiliated platforms. These Advertising Providers may use tracking technologies (including cookies and pixel tags) on our Website and other sites and apps in order to serve these ads. Some of those ads may be personalized, meaning that they are intended to be relevant to you based on information Advertising Providers collect about your use of the Website and other sites or apps over time (such as web pages you visit and your interaction with our advertising and other communications), including information about relationships among different browsers and devices. This type of advertising is known as interest-based advertising.

SU2C adheres to the Digital Advertising Alliance (“DAA”) Self-Regulatory Principles. You may visit the DAA choice page at www.aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative choice page at optout.networkadvertising.org/?c=1 to learn more about this type of advertising and how to opt out of this type of advertising on your browser by companies participating in industry self-regulatory programs. If you delete your cookies or use a different browser or mobile device, you may need to renew your opt-out choices exercised through these industry tools. Your opt-out only applies to the web browser you use so you must opt-out of each web browser on each device that you use. Note that opting out will not stop advertising from appearing in your browser or applications. It may make the ads you see less relevant to your interests. Additionally, your browser may offer tools to limit the use of cookies or to delete cookies; however, if you use these tools, our Website may not function as intended.

We may also work with third parties that collect data about your use of the Website and other sites or apps over time for non-advertising purposes. SU2C uses Google Analytics and other third-party services to improve the performance of the Website and for analytics and marketing purposes. For more information about how Google Analytics collects and uses data when you use our Website, visit https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/, and to opt out of Google Analytics, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/.

Third-Party Links & Tools

The Website may include integrated tools offered by third parties (including fundraising and event registration tools) as well as provide links to third-party websites or apps, including social media pages, clinical trial services, and fundraising tools. Third parties offering these tools, websites, or apps may share the personal information that they collect with SU2C, other parties, and the general public. We do not control the privacy practices of these third parties, and their practices are not covered by this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of web-based tools, websites, or apps that you use to learn about their data practices.

Safeguarding Information

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards for personal information collected through the Website. These safeguards are designed to help protect the personal information we collect against theft; loss; misuse; or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
