In an exciting collaboration with FOX Network, SU2C was featured in last week’s episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star, highlighting the importance of donating to help fund cancer research! In the episode, Owen (played by Rob Lowe) and his crew host a Stand Up To Cancer Gala to benefit lung cancer research. The scene features SU2C signage and branding and reiterates SU2C’s mission of funding groundbreaking cancer research to help save lives.
The episode touches on how firefighters are at an increased risk of developing lung cancer and how 20% more firefighters could become long-term survivors of lung cancer with better testing and earlier access to screening.
Rob Lowe also recorded an online service announcement spotlighting SU2C’s feature in the episode and directing viewers to SU2C’s website for more information.
