What is a Matching Gift?

Double your impact by asking your employer to match your gift to Stand Up To Cancer. A matching gift is a corporate program where companies match the donations their employees make to various organizations. When an employee donates and requests a matching gift, the employer contributes an equivalent or greater amount. While many companies match donations at a 1:1 ratio, some offer higher matching ratios such as 2:1, 3:1, or even 4:1. Matching gifts foster employee and customer loyalty, demonstrating the company’s commitment to the community.
