Historic Landmarks In U.S. & Canada Light Up In Stand Up To Cancer Colors
Our most iconic structures represent not only the heart of a city, but the soul of its people. More than a dozen buildings and landmarks across the United States and Canada will be illuminated in a united show of support for the upcoming biennial Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) “roadblock” telecast airing in both the United States and Canada. Participating buildings and landmarks include Niagara Falls and The Peace Bridge (US and Canadian falls), Rockefeller Center® (New York), CN Tower (Toronto), Willis Tower and The Wrigley Building (Chicago), The Capital Wheel (Washington D.C.), Houston City Hall, LAX Gateway (Los Angeles), One Liberty Place and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (Philadelphia), Pacific Wheel Ferris wheel at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier, Toronto City Hall, the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge (Boston), The Parthenon (Nashville), Terminal Tower (Cleveland), Big Dam Bridge and Two Rivers Park Bridge (Little Rock) and The Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory (Milwaukee). All will be lit in a combination of SU2C’s signature colors: red, orange, yellow or white. The live, one-hour fundraising telecast, through which the entertainment community engages the public in supporting cancer research that gets new therapies to patients quickly, will air commercial-free simultaneously Friday, Sept. 5, at 8pm/7pm Central.

Hollywood Stars Align for SU2C Telecast & New “We’re Calling You” Campaign
The Hollywood community is once again uniting to support Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), which will stage its fourth biennial fundraising telecast Friday, September 5 (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT). Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Pierce Brosnan, Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Jon Hamm, Kiefer Sutherland, Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Mark Harmon, Rob Lowe, Danny McBride, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Tony Hale, Dane Cook, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Marg Helgenberger, Matt Passmore, Rob Riggle, Italia Ricci and Bree Turner will appear in the broadcast, with special performances by The Who, Jennifer Hudson, Lupe Fiasco & Common, Ariana Grande, and Dave Matthews. Additional stars and performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

Room Key®, an experience-tailored hotel search engine created by six of the world’s leading hotel companies, today unveiled a video featuring actor and SU2C Celebrity Ambassador Tony Hale to raise awareness for their Stay the Night, Join the Fight℠ campaign to benefit Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C), a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation. Launched in April, the campaign is well on its way to raising a minimum of $3 million over the next three years to support SU2C’s collaborative cancer research programs, with contributions to date – through both hotel stays booked and direct donations from Room Key – nearing $375,000 in just three months.
