Cardholders Help Drive $4 Million Donation to SU2C with MasterCard
MasterCard announced today that the company has reached its goal of raising $4 million for Stand Up To Cancer® (SU2C) through the Dig In & Do Good campaign. MasterCard will present the fundraising contribution to SU2C on-field during the 2013 World Series. Through the program, which launched at the MLB All-Star Game in July, MasterCard made a one cent donation to SU2C when cardholders spent $10 or more for a meal using their MasterCard cards, up to $4 million (U.S.).

MasterCard launches Dig In & Do Good to support SU2C
MasterCard Worldwide and Stand Up To Cancer are once again coming together to give dining out a purpose through “Dig In and Do Good.” Beginning today, every time cardholders spend $10 or more when dining out, or ordering in, and choose to pay with their MasterCard through September 28, 2013, MasterCard will make a donation to Stand Up To Cancer one precious cent at a time, up to a total of $4MM.

Ken Burns, Siddhartha Mukherjee, SU2C, & WETA to Collaborate on Cancer Documentary
Siddhartha Mukherjee, M.D., award-winning author of The Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer (Simon & Schuster 2010), and acclaimed filmmaker Ken Burns will collaborate on a new documentary inspired by the Pulitzer Prize-winning book, both parties announced today. The film CANCER: The Emperor of All Maladies will be directed by the award-winning filmmaker Barak Goodman with Burns as executive producer, and will air on PBS in the spring of 2015.

The Lustgarten Foundation And SU2C Collaborate To Extend SU2C’s Promising Pancreatic Cancer Research
Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C) and The Lustgarten Foundation announced today a collaboration that will extend the work of the SU2C Dream Team that is investigating ways to improve survival for patients with advanced metastatic pancreatic cancer. The Lustgarten Foundation will make a $2 million donation to SU2C, which SU2C will match, enabling this Dream Team to receive a total of $4 million over the next two years.
